Erik was walking up to the stand on the portage. As he got closer he saw a doe in the bushes. A fork buck appeared and was looking for action. Then a crunch, a nice buck ran by and stopped broadside. Shot, over the ridge he went. Tim showed up, Erik saw the buck sneaking thru the bush, one more shot to harvest.

Shot, over the ridge he went. Tim showed up, Erik saw the buck sneaking thru the bush, one more shot to harvest.
They dragged the buck to the portage and then used a canoe to get him to the boat.
Nov. 7
We woke up one morning to ice completely surrounding the houseboats.
We decided to break camp, packup and head home.

Wayne's 60th birthday
We were doing a slow walk hunt and Keith yelled out Buck. Wayne went to a ridge, about 10 minutes and this buck walked out. Shot, down he went. Keith came over to help drag up the ridge. Wayne said, Keith continue with hunt. Wayne cleaned, split in two and carried the buck 558 yards thru the bush to the boat.
Great 60th birthday wish.
